Ayla Patel

Ayla Patel, age 14, is a 9th grader at The Kinkaid School. She began playing violin at the age of 6. She currently studies with Frances McLean. She is in the Kinkaid Orchestra under Steve Kastner and Dr. Mauricio Oliveros. She has performed in several recitals in both solo and chamber and competitions. She qualified to play in Region 23 orchestra in 2021, as well as playing in the Philadelphia International Music Festival’s Symphony Orchestra in 2020 and 2021. Ayla has had the pleasure of performing as concertmaster of the Houston Youth Symphony’s debut orchestra in 2021, as well as performing as concertmaster of the Katy Youth Symphony from 2018-2020. She has participated in TPSMEA Solo and Ensemble for the past 8 years, receiving top scores. In her free time, Ayla loves reading, running, and playing with her dog.
