Corinne McLeod
Corinne McLeod, 16, is a sophomore violinist at Legacy Academy. This is her second season with Virtuosi of Houston. She began her study of violin in 2011 under Mrs. Lauren Kossler of the Winston Salem Symphony and currently studies with Ms. Caroline Ewan of the Cypress Violin Studio. She joined the Houston Youth Symphony in 2019 and served as principal second violin for the 2020-21 season. She now plays as Concertmaster in Philharmonia under the direction of Mr. Michael Isadore. Corinne has attended Texas All-State Strings Camp and the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, where she led as Assistant Principal in the Cumberland Symphony Orchestra. Corinne has been blessed to work with many teachers and conductors including Dr. Lin He, Dr. Gene Moon, Mr. Geoffrey Herd, Mrs. Carolyn Vandiver and Mr. Johnathan Magness. She also frequently plays chamber music with her siblings at church. When she is not playing or practicing, Corinne enjoys horseback riding and golfing.
