Max Liu, Oboe
Max Liu, age 16, is currently a junior at Clements High School. He has played oboe for five years, since 6th grade, and currently studies with Dr. Anne Leek. Max was previously the principal oboist of the Houston Youth Chamber Orchestra and the principal oboist of the TMEA Region 13 All-Region Band and All-Region Orchestra in 2024. This past summer, he attended the High School Oboe Intensive at the Interlochen Center for the Arts. He also played piano for 8 years. Max was born in Houston and enjoys spending time with his guinea pig and writing stories.
