Kevin Xiong

Kevin Xiong, 16, is a junior at Memorial High School. He is under the musical direction of Suzanne Scott and Jeffery Munger. He has been playing oboe for five years and English horn for two years. In the past, Kevin has been the principal chair of region band, a member of area band, and the recipient of multiple awards at UIL Solo Ensemble contests and TSSEC. During the summer, he has attended Bocal Majority Double Reed Camp, Sam Houston State University Double Reed Day, and the National Symposium for Debate. Kevin currently studies oboe with Leah Solis and has played for Russ DeLuna. He is part of multiple honor societies, volunteer organizations, and the Memorial High School drumline. When not playing oboe or English horn, he enjoys watching drum corps and BOA, hanging out with friends, and baking.
