Dominic Block

Dominic is seventeen and has been playing the violin since the age of nine, studying first with Melissa Williams and currently with Dr. Matt Lammers as part of the Michael P. Hammond Preparatory Program at Rice. He is a Junior at Cathedral High School. This is Dominic’s third year with Virtuosi, before which he played with the Houston Youth Symphony for three years. Dominic also has played in quartets and trios with AFA and currently plays with Opus 1 Chamber Music School. He has participated in the AFA Summer Music Festival, Texas Strings Festival, Opus 360 and the Stringwood Chamber Music Festival. His hobbies include basketball, soccer and working out.
