Mathew Perez

Mathew Perez, 16, has been playing the clarinet for five years. He started in the sixth grade at age 11, and is now studying at Manvel High School for his third year. He studies privately with Chester Rowell. He made Area for region band his freshman and sophomore years. He has earned superior ratings (1) for multiple consecutive years in the Texas UIL Solo and Ensemble contest. This will be his first season with the Virtuosi of Houston. Outside of music, he loves to do powerlifting with his best friend as well as spin with Manvel High School Band’s color guard.
