Ethan Bydalek

Ethan Bydalek is an 18-year-old cellist who has played cello for 4 years. Ethan recently graduated from Cypress Falls High school, where he was under the orchestral direction of Dr. John Ricarte and Ms. Ruby Ortiz. During his time at Cypress Falls, he competed in UIL Solo & Ensemble and received Superior (1) ratings for all of his performances. Ethan is currently taking a gap year to focus on music and to prepare for college. He is currently a member of the Houston Youth Symphony. In the past, Ethan attended the Texas All-State Strings Camp, SFA Summer Strings Camp, and the AFA Chamber Music Academy. He is currently studying cello under Maki Kubota, a member of the Houston Symphony. Past private teachers include Max Geissler, Kacee Dugas, and Yi-fan Chen. When he isn’t involved in music, Ethan enjoys walking at the park and going out with his family.
