April Guo

April Guo is a sixteen-year-old harpist born in Calgary, Canada. April has been playing the piano since she was five years old and started playing the harp when she was in sixth grade. She has qualified as the first chair harpist in the Symphony Orchestra and earned a bronze and silver medal for the Solo and Ensemble contest in 2022. She transferred to the Awty International School as an eighth grader, and joined Virtuosi of Houston, where she continues to play her instrument to this year as a sophomore. She is learning the Harp with the help of Mrs. Susanna Wang and studying piano with Dr. Yan Shen. Aside from her musical studies, April lives in a household that loves traveling with two dogs, and plays volleyball competitively.
