Sarah Hall

Sarah Hall, 14, is a freshman at Cypress Ranch High School in her third year with Virtuosi. Sarah began playing the violin at age six with Chaiwat Rodsuwan, studied under Caroline Ewan for five years during which she transitioned to viola, and is now working with Ivo-Jan van der Werff. She is currently principal violist in her school’s symphony orchestra under the direction of Elizabeth Ledford and Sarah Grant and placed principal violist in region this year. Outside of school orchestra, Sarah has been involved in other string opportunities such as AFA’s chamber music academy and summer festival, Houston Youth Symphony, and Csehy Summer School of Music. In eighth grade, Sarah also began studying bassoon with Rachel Roberman, achieving region placement, and plays euphonium with the high school marching band under the direction of Alex Denton, Kyle Siegrist, Zachary Fink, and Timothy Greene. Other instruments she has played include cello, clarinet, bass clarinet, and trumpet. Sarah is also an avid composer and hopes to one day be a professional conductor.
