Jordan Elizabeth “Lizzie” Doughty is an 18-year-old violist and a senior at William B. Travis Highschool. She began playing viola at the age of 11. In the 2018, she started playing violin and recently started playing electric bass guitar. From June to July of 2018, she participated in AFA (American Festival of the Arts) and in July of 2019, attended the Josef Gingold Chamber Music Festival in Miami, Florida. She performed at the Virtuosi of Houston studio as a part of Lauren Haley’s student recital. She made the philharmonic region orchestra in 2018 and 2019 and received a one at state solo and ensemble twice. She is currently working with Lauren Haley as a private teacher. She plays in the Travis Symphony Orchestra directed by Sabrina Behrens. Lizzie is fluent in ASL, has a dog named Scout and also loves to draw and paint.
