Stewart Robison, an 18 year old senior at Cypress Creek High School, is honored to begin his first year as a member of the Virtuosi of Houston and was a former member of the Houston Youth Symphony for 1 year. He’s been principal cellist in the Cy-Creek Chamber Orchestra for 3 consecutive years, now under the direction of international composer Shawn Head. He began playing the cello when he was 12 years old and is still privately taught under Houston Symphony cellist Hellen Weberpal. He has competed every year in the UIL Solo and Ensemble Competition to where each year he has received a Division 1 rating. Stewart has also competed in the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Competition at the University of Texas for 2 consecutive years since he was a sophomore. He is currently a member of the Tri-M Music Honors Society, an organization that performs gigs, fundraisers, and community service, in which only the most dedicated players in the Cy-Creek Orchestra are invited and inducted as members. Stewart has always surrounded himself with the world of politics, cars, and music in general. Stewart is currently deciding if he should pursue a life in politics or music, either at Texas State University, University of Houston, or the University of North Texas.
