Steve Hernandez, 15 years old, began
playing the violin at age 10. He is a
10th grade student at Dobie High
School. In 7th grade he joined the top
group in Thompson Intermediate. In
his last school year at Thompson, he
was awarded the Directors Choice
Award, which is awarded to one
outstanding student every year. Steve
qualified for Region Orchestra from
2015 to 2018. He was a member of the
Bay Area Youth Symphony from 2014
to 2017 and is a member of the top
orchestra group for upper classmen.
Steve’s private teachers consist of
Angela Badon and Madea Guldedava.
His faith belongs to Christianity and
he has been a member of Church
of Christ since birth. His plan for
the future is to be a part of this
recognizable orchestra. Steve would
like to study health science and
incorporate his passion for music with
his patients in his counseling practice.
