Brighton Lucas, a sixteen-year-old Junior at Cypress Ranch High School, began studying percussion at the age of thirteen through his middle school’s private lessons program. Brighton actively participates with the award winning Cy-Ranch Band in the percussion section, and is a leader on the drumline. In addition to percussion, Brighton also has been playing the piano since he was six, and has accompanied the band as a pianist as well. During the summer Brighton enjoys attending EFY, a church camp organized through Brigham Young University. During summer 2016, Brighton was able to attend FSY, a similar church camp in Japan with English speaking Japanese and Korean youth from his church. Brighton is taught by Bobby McCullough, Russell Holcombe and Tim Greene. He also participates in PALS at his school and is an Eagle Scout.
