Elizabeth Campbell begins her third season as harpist with Virtuosi of Houston. She has studied eight years primarily with Emily Mitchell of Stephen F. Austin State University. Ellie performed with the 2015 Music For All Honor Orchestra of America under the baton of Virtuosi Maestro Franz Krager. Participation in numerous Houston Summer Harp Festivals, American Harp Society National Conferences, and Summer Institutes enhanced her skills and love of her instrument. Master class performances with renowned harpists Kimberly DeRosa, Emily Mitchell, and Dr. Jaymee Haefner developed a keener sense for the intricate elements of musicality for harp. She is a Mildred Milligan and Gulf Coast Harpers scholarship recipient. Her favorite Virtuosi gigs include pre-performance music for Itzhak Perlman, the Texas Asian Citizenship celebration, and the prestigious Houston Exotic Auto Festival. She enjoys board games, harp performance, singing, and acting. This year Ellie acted in and performed on harp in the A. D. Players Theater Arts Academy production of Peter Pan, Jr. and expanded her theatrical skills as Student Assistant Director of The Big Bad Musical at Fort Bend Theatre. Ellie is honored to join her Virtuosi family again for the highlight of her musical experience. Soli Deo Gloria!
